The longer version:

I have always thrived on creating bridges between people and proving that they have more in common than that which divides them. I believe this comes from having fled my home country as a child and having grown up in a foreign country. As a refugee child I had to adapt very quickly to new circumstances, language, and culture.

My degrees in international relations and development studies from top institutions in the US and in the UK and my former career in investment banking gave me the chance to discover the business world and development work. I have realized through my recent activities that the two can complement one another.

Through my volunteer work 5 years ago during the refugee crisis, I got to know a lot of refugees and saw how important language learning is to them but also financial independence for a quick and successful integration.

The daily interactions and experiences acquired in the workplace accelerate the process of integration and equally importantly the feeling of self-worth, financial independence, and self-reliance. At CSR Solutions, I focus on social impact because I believe this is where one can have a positive effect on society, the environment and governance. Improving people’s lives is uplifting, creates hope and optimism for the future we build together.
